Materuni Waterfalls, Coffee Tour & Hot Lunch

Meet your local guide and drive to Materuni village, upon arrival complete the necessary village registrations and then enjoy a scenic walk through coffee and banana plantations to the stunning Materuni Waterfall. Along the way, learn about Chagga traditions, village life, and the rich natural environment of the Kilimanjaro region.

At the waterfall, relax, take photos, and enjoy the refreshing mountain atmosphere. Afterwards, return to the village for an authentic Chagga coffee experience, where you will roast, grind, and brew your own coffee using traditional methods while enjoying local songs and cultural interaction.

The tour concludes with a delicious hot lunch prepared from fresh local ingredients. Before returning to Materuni Homes take in the peaceful village surroundings and, weather permitting, enjoy beautiful views of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Mkomazi National Park Rhino Explorations

Early departure from Moshi and a scenic drive to Mkomazi National Park, a remote and unspoiled wildlife sanctuary in northern Tanzania. Upon arrival, you enter the park for a guided game drive across vast savannah landscapes framed by the Pare and Usambara mountain ranges.

The exploration focuses on both general wildlife viewing and conservation, with a special visit to the Mkomazi Rhino Sanctuary, where endangered black rhinos are protected and carefully monitored. This offers a rare opportunity to observe these magnificent animals in a secure conservation environment while learning about ongoing protection efforts.

During the game drive, you may also encounter giraffes, zebras, oryx, hartebeest, elephants, and a variety of bird species adapted to the dry ecosystem. The experience highlights the park’s unique balance of wilderness and conservation.

After a rewarding day of exploration, you exit the park and return to Moshi or other destination of your choice.
