Upon arrival in Central Serengeti, you will enjoy an exciting afternoon game drive across the endless plains, where you will have the chance to spot lions, elephants, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and other iconic wildlife. As the sun sets over the Serengeti, you continue to your lodge/camp in the heart of the park, surrounded by the sounds and beauty of the African wilderness. Your overnight stay will be in Central Serengeti.

In the late afternoon, you leave Serengeti and drive through the scenic Ngorongoro Highlands, with a visit to a Maasai village where you will learn about their traditional way of life, culture, and customs. You'll continue to the peaceful town of Karatu, where you will spend the night and relax after an exciting day of adventure. Your overnight stay will be in Karatu.

Early risers are rewarded with breathtaking views of the rising sun over the crater’s edge. After a hearty breakfast, you will drive down the adventurous track into the crater. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of the seven wonders of Africa and the most incredible ecosystems on earth, formed millions of years ago in the massive explosion of a volcano. It is 610 m deep and covers roughly 260 square kilometers. Due to its dense animal population of approximately 25 000, the crater offers the best game viewing of all the parks in Tanzania. In a matter of minutes, you will be able to see wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, elephants, and some of the more than 500 bird species in the area. With a little bit of luck, you might catch a glimpse of the endangered black rhino through the grass. After lunch, you will ascend the steep walls of the crater and head to mto wa mbu for dinner and an overnight stay.

Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast, you will enjoy a game drive in Lake Manyara National Park, a beautiful park renowned for its diverse ecosystems, abundant birdlife, and famous tree-climbing lions. During your game drive, you may encounter elephants, giraffes, zebras, hippos, baboons, and seasonal flocks of flamingos along the lake shores. After an unforgettable wildlife experience, you will drive back to Arusha with a picnic lunch en route. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to Kilimanjaro Airport for your evening flight to Dar es Salaam, marking the end of your remarkable Tanzanian safari adventure. You will depart with unforgettable memories of Tanzania’s stunning landscapes, diverse wildlife, and extraordinary safari experiences.
