Arrival in Nairobi – Transfer to Maasai Mara (Mara Kimana Camp)

Your safari begins early in the morning as you depart Nairobi, traveling southwest through the picturesque Great Rift Valley. Along the way, you'll pass through rolling highlands, small towns, and farmland, with opportunities to stop for photos at scenic viewpoints overlooking the Rift Valley escarpment. After approximately 5-6 hours of travel, you'll arrive at the Maasai Mara National Reserve in time for lunch at Mara Kimana Camp.
In the afternoon, set out on your first game drive into the reserve. The Maasai Mara is renowned worldwide for its incredible density of wildlife, and you'll have the chance to spot lions lounging in the grass, herds of elephants, giraffes grazing on acacia trees, and large herds of buffalo. Depending on the time of year, you may also witness portions of the Great Migration, as wildebeest and zebra move across the plains in their millions. As the sun sets over the savannah, return to camp for dinner and overnight at Mara Kimana Camp.

Main Destination:
Masai Mara National Reserve (Kenya)
Best Time To Visit June to October (For general wildlife viewing) and August to October (For wildebeest migration)

Wake up to the sounds of the African bush and enjoy breakfast before a full day of game viewing. The Maasai Mara is home to the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, rhino), plus cheetahs, hyenas, hippos in the Mara River, and abundant birdlife.
Your morning game drive explores areas like the Mara Triangle or the Talek and Sand Rivers, depending on wildlife movements and season. Return to camp for lunch and a relaxing break during the heat of the day.
In the afternoon, head out for a second game drive, when predators become active as temperatures cool—ideal for photography with golden light over the landscape. Optionally, visit a nearby Maasai village for insight into traditional customs, homes, and beadwork. Return to camp for dinner and overnight at Mara Kimana Camp.

Maasai Mara to Serengeti National Park

After an early breakfast, depart the Maasai Mara and head toward the Tanzania border, crossing via the Sand River or Isebania border post. Border formalities typically take about 30-45 minutes, after which you'll continue your journey into the Serengeti ecosystem.
The drive offers a transition through changing landscapes, from the Mara's rolling hills to the seemingly endless plains of the Serengeti — a name derived from the Maasai word "Siringet," meaning "the place where the land runs forever." Arrive at Serengeti Pumzika Camp in time for lunch.
In the afternoon, embark on a game drive through the southern Serengeti plains, an area known for its open grasslands, scattered acacia trees, and large concentrations of predators, particularly during calving season (typically January to March) when wildebeest herds give birth on these plains, attracting lions, cheetahs, and hyenas. Return to camp for dinner and overnight at Serengeti Pumzika Camp.

Main Destination:
Serengeti National Park (Tanzania)
Best Time To Visit January to February and June to October (Different areas are best at different times)

Full Day Game Viewing – Serengeti National Park

Spend a full day immersed in the Serengeti's vast wilderness, one of the most famous wildlife sanctuaries in the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. With morning and afternoon game drives, you'll explore different habitats within the park, from open savannah to riverine forests and rocky outcrops known as kopjes, which often serve as resting spots for lions and leopards.
Depending on the season, you may witness key moments of the Great Migration, including river crossings at the Mara or Grumeti Rivers (typically July-October) or the dramatic calving season on the southern plains (January-March). Even outside migration months, the Serengeti offers exceptional year-round game viewing, including resident populations of lions, elephants, giraffes, hippos, and diverse birdlife. Enjoy lunch back at camp and a second game drive in the late afternoon as wildlife becomes more active. Overnight at Serengeti Pumzika Camp.

The central soda lake, Lake Magadi, often draws flocks of flamingos, adding to the scenery. Spend the morning exploring the crater floor with your guide.
