Day 1

At 7.30am, you will be picked up from your hotel within Nairobi city centre and commence the drive to Maasai Mara via the great rift valley view point where you will have a breath-taking view of the floor of the rift valley. Lunch will be at a travellers motel on the way. Arrive late in the afternoon.

In the evening after you check in depart for a sunset game viewing drive in the Mara Reserve. Return back to the camp for a sumptuous buffet dinner ending with good time for resting at Rhino Tented camp or similar. There are big self-contained tents with bathroom, shower, bed, linen and mosquito nets. There is also hot water and electricity.

You will spend the entire day exploring the reserve in search of the Big Five. During your journey, you will enjoy picnic lunches within the Reserve as you experience the beauty of the Mara. The itinerary includes a visit to the banks of the Mara River, where many resident hippos and crocodiles can be sighted.

As the most popular tourism destination in Kenya, the Masai Mara is regarded as the jewel of the country's wildlife viewing areas. Located in the Great Rift Valley, the wildlife is primarily concentrated on the reserve’s western escarpment. In the morning, you will depart from the Maasai Mara and begin the drive to Naivasha. Lunch will be served at [Name of Hotel] before continuing the journey.

You will arrive in Naivasha in time for an afternoon boat ride on the lake, where you can enjoy hippo viewing and bird watching. Additionally, there is an optional two-hour horse riding activity available for those interested.

We will depart at 7 AM after breakfast and head to Hell's Gate National Park. Once there, you will have the option of enjoying a biking or a walking safari to get up close to the animals. We will also walk down the gorges to see the beautiful landmass depressions.

Afterward, we will head to Kifaru Restaurant for lunch before traveling to the border town of Namanga.

After breakfast, you will drive to Arusha to join a group heading to Lake Manyara National Park. The park is approximately a two-hour drive from Arusha.

Lake Manyara is a beautiful protected area situated between the lake and the Great Rift Valley, covering 325 km². It is a compact park, allowing for a comprehensive game drive of about two to three hours. You will enjoy a game drive starting after lunch and continuing until the evening, after which you will have dinner and relax at the campsite.

Breakfast then Leave for Serengeti. Arrive and start game drive en-route to the campsite. More game drives afternoon until late evening. Dinner and relax at the campsite. Serengeti National Park, in northern Tanzania, is known for its massive annual migration of wildebeest and zebra. Seeking new pasture, the herds move north from their breeding grounds in the grassy southern plains. Many cross the marshy western corridor’s crocodile-infested Grumeti River. Others veer northeast to the Lobo Hills, home to black eagles. Black rhinos inhabit the granite outcrops of the Moru Kopjes.

We will depart from the Serengeti at 7:00 a.m. for a game drive en route to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, including a picnic lunch. Dinner and the overnight stay will be at the campsite.

As a reminder, the Ngorongoro Conservation Area in northern Tanzania is home to the vast volcanic Ngorongoro Crater and the "big 5" (elephant, lion, leopard, buffalo, and rhino). The plains are known for the annual migration of wildebeests and zebras, as well as the semi-nomadic Maasai tribe who graze their livestock alongside the wildlife. The area also features the Olduvai Gorge, where hominin fossils dating back millions of years have been discovered.
