Nairobi – Fly to Masai Mara & Afternoon Game Drive

Your safari begins in the morning with a transfer to Wilson Airport in Nairobi for your scenic flight to the Masai Mara. As you take off, enjoy stunning aerial views of the Great Rift Valley, rolling escarpments, and vast savannahs stretching toward the horizon. Upon landing in the Maasai Mara National Reserve, you are warmly welcomed and transferred to your camp or lodge. After check-in and lunch, you set out on your first afternoon game drive. This is your introduction to the legendary Mara ecosystem—expect to see elephants, giraffes, buffalo, and possibly your first big cats tracking the plains. As the sun sets in golden tones, you return to camp for dinner and overnight stay, surrounded by the sounds of the wild.

Full-Day Great Migration Safari

After an early breakfast, you depart with a packed picnic lunch for a full-day exploration of the reserve. Today is dedicated to following the movement of the Great Migration herds, depending on the season. You may witness massive columns of wildebeest and zebra crossing open plains or gathering dramatically along the Mara River, where crocodiles and predators wait for opportunity. Your expert guide tracks the action across different regions of the reserve, increasing your chances of witnessing predator-prey interactions and unforgettable wildlife moments. Lunch is served in the bush under the shade of acacia trees. The afternoon continues with game drives focusing on lions, cheetahs, elephants, and hyenas following the migration. You return to camp in the evening for dinner, storytelling, and relaxation under a star-filled African sky.
