Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport

You will be welcomed by our representative at the Kilimanjaro international airport who will brief you shortly and then transfer you to Moshi town where you will spend a night before you start the hike.
On arrival, you will check in and relax

Marangu Gate (1870m) – Mandara Hut (2700m)

After breakfast, you will be picked by our driver to transfer you from Moshi/Arusha to Marangu Gate.

Here you will have a Park registration & briefing and also have lunch then Start the trek through tropical rainforest.

Along the hike, you will be able to spot blue monkeys, Colobus monkeys and Rich birdlife.

This will take you 4–5 hours hiking depending on your pace.

Mandara Hut – Horombo Hut (3720m)

A bright Morning depending on the weather, you will have breakfast and start off yet another hike to another camp. You will leave rainforest and enter moorland zone.

Here you will have your first views of Mawenzi Peak. A lunch stopover will be made and later proceed to the next hut.

This trek will take you 5–6 hours of hiking depending on your pace.

Acclimatization at Horombo

This is an acclimatization day, after breakfast it’s Optional but advised hiking to Zebra Rocks. On your way to the zebra Rocks, you will have a more relaxed trek with scenic views

Return to Horombo for rest as you prepare for the next day.

This improves summit success rate significantly.

Horombo Hut – Kibo Hut (4700m)

After Morning breakfast, you will go on yet another Trek through alpine desert.

You will have stunning views of Kibo Peak. and if the weather is clear, you will be able to see the Uhuru peak from a far distance

Early dinner & rest so that you prepare for summit night.

The trek will take you 5–6 hours.

Summit – Uhuru Peak (5895m) – Horombo Hut

You will have a Midnight summit attempt.

You will Trek via Gilman’s Point.

And then continue to Uhuru Peak.
On arrival, you are given less than 10 minutes to have photo/video moments
Celebrate at the Roof of Africa!

Descend back to Horombo Hut. 10–14 hours total.

Horombo Hut – Mandara Hut

After Morning breakfast, you will descend through moorland to rainforest. Well achieved, the descend will be alot easier than the ascension which leads to less time needed to descend

This will take you approximately 4–5 hours.

Overnight: Mandara Hut.

Mandara Hut – Marangu Gate

After breakfast, you will go for your final descent to Marangu gate where you will receive summit certificates. A photo moment break will be given and then you will be transferred back to Moshi/Arusha.

This will take you approximately 3–4 hours.

Overnight at the guest lodge.

Leisure Time

This will be a day for you to relax and enjoy the hotel, and its surrounding and also beat off some mountain fatigue!
In most cases after hiking, the body needs to acclimatize to the lower altitude and that's why you need to rest on this day
Optional city tour or other attractions can be tailored for your preference.
