Your journey begins with a morning departure from Arusha, followed by a scenic drive to Materuni Village, nestled on the lush foothills of Mount Kilimanjaro. Upon arrival, embark on a guided cultural tour through verdant coffee plantations, banana farms, and picturesque countryside, gaining insight into the rich heritage, traditions, and daily life of the Chagga people.
The excursion continues with a leisurely hike to the magnificent Materuni Waterfalls, where you can admire the cascading waters, capture memorable photographs, and enjoy the tranquility of the surrounding natural environment. Following your visit to the falls, return to the village to savor a traditional local lunch before participating in an authentic Chagga coffee-making experience. Learn the traditional process of roasting, grinding, and brewing freshly harvested organic coffee while engaging with the local community.
In the late afternoon you will drive back to Arusha.
