Arrival in Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK), you will be welcomed by a Karibu Heritage Safari representative and transferred to your accommodation in Arusha. Your overnight stay will be at Karibu Heritage House, a peaceful and comfortable lodge offering a relaxing atmosphere to prepare for your safari adventure in Tanzania.

Lake Manyara National Park

After breakfast at the hotel, you will depart from Arusha and drive toward Lake Manyara National Park, enjoying scenic views of the Great Rift Valley along the way. Upon arrival, enjoy a game drive through the park, famous for its tree-climbing lions, large troops of baboons, and diverse wildlife. Lake Manyara is also renowned for its rich birdlife, including thousands of flamingos, pelicans, storks, and herons around the alkaline lake. During the safari, you may also spot elephants, giraffes, zebras, hippos, and other animals in their natural habitat. A packed lunch will be served at a picnic site inside the park. In the late afternoon, continue with a short drive to the beautiful Ngorongoro Highlands. Dinner and your overnight stay will be at Farm of Dream Lodge.

Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

After an early breakfast, you will descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive on the crater floor, one of Africa’s most remarkable wildlife destinations.
