Kigali Arrival – Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Upon arrival in Kigali or after breakfast at your hotel, meet your driver-guide and begin a scenic journey through Rwanda's rolling hills towards the Uganda border. Complete border formalities and continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Along the way, enjoy spectacular views of terraced hillsides, rural villages, and the Virunga Mountains. Arrive at your lodge in the afternoon and relax while preparing for the next day's gorilla trekking adventure.

Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi – Transfer to Rwanda

After an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for a gorilla trekking briefing conducted by Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. You will then enter the dense rainforest in search of a habituated mountain gorilla family.
The trek may last between 2 and 8 hours depending on the movement of the gorillas. Once located, spend one unforgettable hour observing these magnificent primates in their natural habitat. Watch as they feed, groom, play, and interact within their family group.
After the trek, receive your trekking certificate and begin the transfer back across the border into Rwanda, arriving near Volcanoes National Park in the evening.

Golden Monkey Trekking – Return to Kigali

After breakfast, transfer to Volcanoes National Park headquarters for a briefing before beginning your Golden Monkey trekking adventure. Accompanied by experienced guides, hike through bamboo forests on the lower slopes of the Virunga Mountains in search of these rare and beautiful primates.

Golden Monkeys are highly active and social, providing excellent photography opportunities as they leap through the bamboo and forage for food. After the trek, return to Kigali, where you will be dropped off at your hotel or Kigali International Airport for your onward journey.
