Your Kenyan safari begins with a morning departure from Nairobi towards Amboseli National Park, where wide-open plains and spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro create an unforgettable first impression. After arriving at Kibo Safari Camp and settling in, enjoy lunch before heading out for your first game drive. Amboseli is famous for its large elephant herds, which can often be seen crossing the dusty plains with Kilimanjaro rising behind them when the skies are clear.

Keep watch for giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffalo, hippos and numerous bird species as your guide introduces you to the park. As the afternoon light softens across the landscape, continue exploring before returning to camp for a relaxed evening surrounded by the sights and sounds of the African wilderness.

Full Day in Amboseli National Park

After breakfast, check out of Kibo Safari Camp and set out with your packed lunch for a full-day game drive in Amboseli National Park. With the entire day dedicated to exploring the park, your guide can take you through different areas and follow wildlife activity based on the conditions on the ground. Enjoy the changing scenery of open savannah, woodland and seasonal wetlands, with opportunities to spot wildlife and admire Mount Kilimanjaro when the skies are clear. At midday, stop at a designated picnic area within the park to enjoy your packed lunch before continuing with the afternoon game drive. In the evening, return to Kibo Safari Camp for dinner and an overnight stay, bringing a rewarding full day of exploration in Amboseli to a close.

After breakfast, leave Amboseli and travel towards Lake Naivasha through changing Kenyan landscapes and into the Great Rift Valley. Lake Naivasha-Lake Nakuru

After breakfast, continue to Lake Nakuru National Park, one of Kenya’s scenic wildlife destinations in the Great Rift Valley. The park offers a varied landscape of open grasslands, woodland, rocky viewpoints and the lake itself, creating a rich habitat for wildlife. During your game drive, look out for the park’s famous rhinos, together with buffalo, giraffes, zebras, waterbuck and other plains game.

The lake and surrounding forests also offer excellent birdwatching opportunities, with a variety of species to discover along the way. Continue to Makalia Falls, a scenic feature within the park, before proceeding to Sarova Lion Hill Game Lodge. Staying within the park allows you to enjoy the peaceful wildlife setting beyond the game drive itself.

Full Day in Maasai Mara

Start your day with an early morning hot air balloon(at own cost) safari, floating quietly above the Maasai Mara as the sun rises over the vast savannah. Maasai Mara – Nairobi

After breakfast, depart the Maasai Mara and begin your journey back to Nairobi, travelling through the changing landscapes of southwestern Kenya and the Great Rift Valley. Enjoy the countryside, local communities and scenic views along the way as your seven-day safari comes to a close. Arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon, with the remainder of the day planned according to your international flight schedule.

If time allows, enjoy a complimentary visit the Giraffe Centre when booking with us, where you can get close to the endangered Rothschild’s giraffes, learn about conservation efforts and enjoy the opportunity to feed them under supervision. In the evening, you will be transferred to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your flight back home, marking the end of your Kenyan safari.
