Day 1

Nairobi – Sirimon Gate – Old Moses Camp (3, 300m)

Depart Nairobi in a pop-up roof 4x4 vehicle and drive to Sirimon Gate on the northwestern side of Mount Kenya. After registration, begin your trek through indigenous forest and bamboo zones toward Old Moses Camp.

The hike takes approximately 3–4 hours over 9 km with a gradual ascent, allowing proper acclimatization before arriving at camp for dinner and overnight stay.

Meals: Lunch, Dinner
Transport: Nairobi → Sirimon Gate (4x4) + Trekking
Accommodation: Old Moses Camp / Judmaier Camp (Mountain Hut or Camping).

Day 2

After breakfast, continue the ascent through moorland filled with giant lobelias and senecios. The trail offers panoramic mountain views as you move deeper into the alpine zone.

The 14 km trek takes approximately 6–8 hours with lunch en route before arriving at Shipton’s Camp, located beneath the peaks of Batian, Nelion, and Lenana.

Day 3

Shipton's Camp - Point Lenana - Old Moses Camp

Begin your summit attempt at around 3:00–4:00 AM, ascending steep scree slopes toward Point Lenana. Reach the summit at sunrise and enjoy spectacular panoramic views across Mount Kenya.

After descent and breakfast at Shipton’s Camp, continue down through Mackinder’s Valley toward Old Moses Camp for overnight stay.

Day 4

After breakfast, descend through forest and moorland for approximately 2–3 hours to Sirimon Gate. Meet your 4x4 vehicle and transfer back to Nairobi.

Arrive in the afternoon and drop off at your hotel, marking the end of your Mount Kenya adventure.
