Tarangire National Park – Realm of Giants & Ancient Baobabs

Following breakfast, your private guide collects you and sets course for Tarangire National Park, named after the life-giving Tarangire River. As Tanzania's 6th-largest park, covering 2,600 square kilometres, Tarangire is famous for its massive elephant herds and iconic baobab trees – some living up to 600 years, storing between 300 and 900 litres of water. The park's vegetation is greener than the Serengeti, with mixed acacia woodlands and ribbons of aquatic forest. Despite its dry reputation, Tarangire offers lush landscapes teeming with wildlife – giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and predators like lions and leopards. After an extensive game drive, you retire to your comfortable lodge for dinner and overnight.

To Serengeti – Endless Plains Await

An early breakfast precedes your journey from Mto wa Mbu to the legendary Serengeti National Park. "Serenget" means "endless plain" in the Maasai language – a fitting name for this vast wilderness. As Tanzania's largest park, the Serengeti boasts diverse landscapes: grassy plains, swamps, lakes, savannahs, and mountains. This is the stage for the greatest wildlife spectacle on earth – the Great Migration, where over a million wildebeests and zebras search for food and water. Depending on the season, you may witness this incredible phenomenon. After an afternoon game drive across golden savannahs, you arrive at Matawi Serengeti Camp for dinner and a restful overnight surrounded by the sounds of the wild.

Ngorongoro Crater – Africa's Natural Wonder & Return to Arusha

Rise early to witness the sunrise over the crater's rim – a breathtaking reward for early risers. After breakfast, you descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the Seven Wonders of Africa. Formed millions of years ago by a volcanic explosion, the crater is 610 metres deep and covers 260 square kilometres. Its dense animal population of approximately 25,000 offers the best game viewing in Tanzania. In minutes, you'll see wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, elephants, and over 500 bird species. With luck, you may spot the endangered black rhino. After lunch, you ascend the crater walls and return to Arusha, where you are dropped off at your accommodation or the airport, concluding your exclusive private safari.
