Game drive

Depart Nairobi in the morning and drive through Kenya's scenic central highlands to the Aberdare region. Arrive in time for lunch at your lodge before transferring to the famous The Ark. Spend the afternoon relaxing and enjoying wildlife viewing from the lodge's observation decks overlooking the floodlit waterhole and salt lick. Watch for elephants, buffaloes, warthogs, hyenas, and other animals that frequently visit the area. Dinner and overnight at The Ark.

After breakfast, depart Aberdare and journey north across the equator towards Samburu. Enjoy scenic views of Mount Kenya and the changing landscapes as you head into Kenya's semi-arid northern frontier. Arrive at your lodge or camp in Samburu in time for lunch. After some relaxation, embark on an afternoon game drive in Samburu National Reserve in search of the unique "Samburu Special Five"—Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, Beisa oryx, Somali ostrich, and gerenuk—along with elephants, lions, and leopards. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
