Day 1

Your guide will pick you up early in the morning from your hotel in Entebbe or Kampala and transfer you to Mabamba Swamp, located on the northern shores of Lake Victoria.
Upon arrival, board a traditional motorized canoe and begin your search for the famous Shoebill. Accompanied by experienced local bird guides, navigate through narrow papyrus channels while observing numerous wetland bird species.
The early morning hours provide the best chance of finding the Shoebill actively feeding in the swamp. Once located, you will have ample time for photography and observation.
After the birding excursion, enjoy lunch before returning to Entebbe or Kampala, arriving in the afternoon.
