Your memorable New Year safari starts with an early morning pick-up from Arusha by your professional safari guide. After a brief orientation, you’ll drive southwest to Tarangire National Park, famous for its impressive elephant populations, towering baobab trees, and rich variety of wildlife.
On arrival, you’ll set off on your first game drive through Tarangire’s striking landscapes. The park hosts large herds of elephants along with lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, impalas, warthogs, and many antelope species. In the dry season, the Tarangire River is the main water source, drawing countless animals and offering exceptional game-viewing opportunities.
You’ll enjoy a tasty picnic lunch inside the park, immersed in the sights and sounds of the African bush.
In the afternoon, continue your game drive before leaving the park and heading to your lodge in the Mto wa Mbu area, where you’ll relax, have dinner, and spend the night.

After an early breakfast, depart from Mto wa Mbu and drive through the stunning Ngorongoro Conservation Area, taking in sweeping views of the highlands and dramatic volcanic scenery along the way.

Upon entering the park, enjoy your first exhilarating game drive. After an early breakfast, depart Serengeti for a final morning game drive as you make your way toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
On arrival, you’ll descend roughly 600 meters down the crater wall into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater for a memorable game drive. This natural amphitheater is teeming with wildlife and offers excellent chances to see the Big Five, alongside large herds of zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, hippos, hyenas, and an impressive array of bird species.
Enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor, soaking in the dramatic surroundings, before driving back up to the rim and continuing on to your lodge in Karatu. Here you’ll have dinner and spend the night, relaxing after an action-packed day.

Day 5
Lake Manyara National Park
Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, depart for Lake Manyara National Park, a scenic park known for its lush groundwater forests, diverse birdlife, and rich wildlife. Enjoy a morning game drive as you explore the park in search of elephants, giraffes, hippos, zebras, baboons, buffaloes, and, if you’re lucky, Lake Manyara’s famous tree-climbing lions. The alkaline lake often hosts thousands of flamingos along with many other bird species, creating superb opportunities for nature and wildlife photography.
Following a picnic lunch in one of the park’s designated spots, you’ll begin the leisurely drive back to Arusha. On arrival, you’ll be dropped off at your hotel, residence, or the airport for your onward journey, marking the end of your unforgettable New Year Safari Adventure.
