The Great Migration is one of the world's most extraordinary wildlife spectacles, taking place across the vast plains of the Serengeti National Park in northern Tanzania and extending into the Masai Mara National Reserve in Kenya. Every year, more than 1.5 million wildebeest, accompanied by hundreds of thousands of zebras and gazelles, embark on a continuous circular journey in search of fresh grazing and water. Driven by seasonal rainfall, this remarkable migration covers approximately 800 to 1,000 kilometers and is recognized as one of the greatest natural events on Earth.
By July to October, the migration reaches the Serengeti national park, where the famous Mara River crossings occur. Thousands of wildebeest plunge into crocodile filled waters, battling strong currents and steep riverbanks in one of nature's most dramatic survival events. These crossings are unpredictable, making every sighting unique and unforgettable.

The Central Serengeti, also known as the Seronera Valley, is the heart of the Serengeti National Park and one of the most rewarding safari destinations in Africa. Famous for its year round wildlife, picturesque landscapes, and exceptional predator sightings, this region offers outstanding game viewing in every season. Its permanent water sources, fertile grasslands, scattered acacia woodlands, and rocky granite kopjes create the ideal habitat for a remarkable variety of animals.
The Seronera River, which flows through the heart of the region, provides a reliable water source throughout the year and attracts wildlife from across the surrounding plains. Hippos gather in pools along the river, crocodiles bask on the riverbanks, while elephants, buffaloes, and countless herbivores come to drink. These water sources also create ideal hunting grounds for predators, leading to frequent and exciting wildlife encounters.
