Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional driver-guide, who will assist you with your luggage before transferring you to your hotel in Kampal As you make your way to Kampala, your guide will provide an introduction to Uganda, its rich cultural heritage, and the exciting experiences awaiting you during your journey.
Upon arrival at your hotel, check in and spend the rest of the day at leisure. You may choose to relax after your flight, enjoy the hotel's facilities, or take a short walk around the surrounding area if time permits.
Dinner will be served at the hotel, followed by an overnight stay in preparation for the adventures ahead.

After breakfast, begin with a visit to the Kasubi Tombs, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and the traditional burial grounds of the kings of the Buganda Kingdom. Learn about the rich history, customs, and architectural heritage
Continue to the Kabaka's Palace in Mengo, the official residence of the King of Buganda, where you will gain insight into the kingdom's royal traditions and historical significance.
After lunch at a local restaurant, visit the bustling Nakasero Market, where you can interact with local traders and experience the daily life of Kampala residents. Continue to the Uganda Museum, Uganda's oldest museum, showcasing the country's cultural, historical, and archaeological treasures. In the evening, enjoy an authentic cultural performance at Ndere Cultural Centre, featuring traditional music, dance, and storytelling from Uganda's diverse ethnic groups. This colorful performance provides a wonderful introduction to Uganda's rich cultural heritage.

Day 3
Transfer from Kampala to Kibale National Park

After an early breakfast, depart Kampala for Kibale National Park, a scenic drive of approximately 5–6 hours through the picturesque countryside of western Uganda. Travel via Mityana, Mubende, Kyegegwa, and Kyenjojo, enjoying views of rolling hills, rural villages, fertile farmlands, and lush tea plantations along the way.
Arrive in the Fort Portal region in time for lunch before continuing to Kibale National Park, renowned as the "Primate Capital of the World." The park is home to 13 species of primates, including the famous chimpanzees, as well as an incredible diversity of birds, butterflies, and forest wildlife. After checking in at your lodge, enjoy the rest of the afternoon at leisure as well as dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 4

Wake up early enough and have breakfast and proceed to the park headquarters for briefing with your packed lunch from the lodge. Chimpanzee trekking involves trekking as you follow the trails of where the chimpanzees were last seen, all this in guidance and company of park rangers and guides. Along the trek you will also have a chance to spot other primate species.
After your encounter with the chimpanzees return to the lodge refresh and in the evening, you will have an evening nature walk around Bigodi wetland swamp where you will be able to see some other primates and mammal species, later return back to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, check out of your lodge and depart Kibale National Park for Queen Elizabeth National Park, a scenic drive of approximately 2–3 hours through the picturesque landscapes of western Uganda. Along the way, enjoy breathtaking views of rolling hills, lush tea plantations, crater lakes, and the majestic Rwenzori Mountains, also known as the "Mountains of the Moon."
Arrive at Queen Elizabeth National Park in time for lunch at your lodge before setting out on an afternoon game drive through the park's wildlife-rich plains. Keep an eye out for elephants, buffaloes, Uganda kobs, warthogs, lions, hyenas, and, if you're fortunate, the elusive leopard. The park is also home to over 600 bird species, making it one of Africa's premier birdwatching destinations.
After the game drive, return to your lodge to relax and enjoy the spectacular views of the surrounding wilderness before dinner and an overnight stay.

This day begins very early with a morning game drive, ideally around 6:30 a.m., when the park is at its most active and wildlife is easiest to spot. You will head out across the Kasenyi Plains, this is a great time to see elephants, buffaloes, giraffe, hyenas, leopards, warthogs, and a variety of antelopes scattered across the savannah After the game drive, you return to your lodge for breakfast and a relaxed mid-morning break.
In the afternoon, you head for one of the park’s highlights, a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel. This two-hour cruise offers a completely different perspective of wildlife viewing. The channel is famous for having one of the highest concentrations of hippos in Africa, often seen in large pods along the water. You will also see Nile crocodiles resting along the banks, elephants and buffaloes coming down to drink, and countless bird species such as pelicans, kingfishers, and African fish eagles. You end the day with dinner and relaxation at your lodge.

After breakfast, check out of your lodge and depart Queen Elizabeth National Park for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, a scenic drive of approximately 5–6 hours through the breathtaking landscapes of southwestern Uganda. Your journey takes you through the famous Ishasha Sector, renowned for its rare tree-climbing lions. If you're fortunate, you may spot these remarkable predators resting in the branches of giant fig trees, along with elephants, buffaloes, topis, and other wildlife.
Continue through the picturesque Kigezi Highlands, often referred to as the "Switzerland of Africa," where you'll enjoy spectacular views of rolling hills, terraced farmlands, and traditional rural communities. Arrive at Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in the afternoon and check in to your lodge.
Spend the remainder of the day relaxing and enjoying the tranquil forest surroundings as you prepare for the unforgettable gorilla trekking experience the following morning.

After an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters of Bwindi Impenetrable for a briefing by experienced park rangers on the guidelines for gorilla trekking. The trek can take anywhere from 2 to 8 hours depending on the location of the gorilla family, but every step through the ancient forest is rewarding. Along the way, enjoy the rich biodiversity of Bwindi, home to numerous bird species, butterflies, and other forest wildlife.
Once you locate the gorillas, you will spend a magical hour observing them in their natural habitat. Watch as they feed, groom, play, and interact with one another while learning about their behavior and conservation from your ranger guide
After the trek, return to the park headquarters to receive your gorilla trekking certificate before transferring back to your lodge for a well-deserved lunch and some time to relax. Spend the remainder of the afternoon at leisure, enjoying the peaceful surroundings of the forest.

After a leisurely breakfast, depart Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and begin your scenic drive back to Entebbe. Along the way, enjoy breathtaking views of the rolling hills of southwestern Uganda, picturesque terraced landscapes, and vibrant local villages. You will make a stop at the Uganda Equator in Kayabwe for photos, refreshments, and an opportunity to browse locally made crafts and souvenirs before continuing your journey.
Upon arrival in Entebbe, check in at Protea Hotel by Marriott Entebbe, beautifully situated on the shores of Lake Victoria. Spend the remainder of the day unwinding by the lakeside, relaxing on the beach, or taking a refreshing swim in the hotel's pool. As the sun sets over Africa's largest lake, enjoy a delicious dinner while soaking in the peaceful atmosphere—the perfect way to relax after your unforgettable gorilla trekking adventure.

After the cruise, you will be transferred to Entebbe International Airport for your departure, marking the end of your incredible East African adventure.
