Upon arrival an early morning from arusha airport heading west through the scenic Maasai countryside toward Tarangire National Park, approximately a 2–3-hour drive. Famous for its ancient baobab trees, expansive savannah, and the life-giving Tarangire River, the park is one of Tanzania's premier wildlife destinations. Upon arrival, enjoy a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch inside the park. After an early breakfast, depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend 600 meters into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater for a morning game drive. Known as the world's largest intact volcanic caldera and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the crater is home to an incredible concentration of wildlife, including the Big Five, zebras, wildebeests, hippos, hyenas, gazelles, and over 500 bird species. Enjoy a picnic lunch at the scenic hippo pool before continuing your wildlife safari across the crater floor.
