Depart Kampala to Murchison Falls National Park

Early morning, your safari guide will pick you up from the hotel in Kampala and drive you to Murchison Falls National Park, Uganda’s finest and largest park, a gem. It has a record of 76 mammal species and 451 birds.

Along the way, you will stop over for rhino tracking at Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Spend 2 hours on a guided rhino experience on foot, then after the track, have lunch and proceed to Murchison Falls National Park, arriving in the evening. Check in at the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise

Wake up early, have a quick breakfast and head out for a morning walk. Make sure to carry your camera for the best shots. You will be able to spot lions, leopards, giraffes, buffaloes, Jackson's hartebeests, antelopes, duikers, hyenas and warthogs, all of which can be spotted in the open savannah grassland. Later, return to the lodge for lunch and to refresh. In the afternoon, go for a boat cruise to the bottom of the falls, where you will have a close look at the thrilling white-water falls.

You will be able to spot schools of hippos, Nile crocodiles, elephants at the bank of the lake, and waterbirds such as storks, fish eagles, among others. You also have a chance to hike to the top falls and meet your driver-guide at the top, who will drive you back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Hike to the top of Murchison Falls – Transfer to Kampala

After breakfast, check out of your lodge and proceed to the top of Murchison Falls for a guided hike to one of Uganda's most spectacular natural attractions. Witness the awe-inspiring sight of the Victoria Nile forcing its way through a narrow 7-meter-wide gorge before plunging 43 meters into the Devil's Cauldron below. Enjoy panoramic views, take memorable photographs, and experience the thunderous roar and mist of the world's most powerful waterfall.

After the hike, begin your scenic drive back to Kampala, passing through picturesque countryside, local villages, and rolling landscapes. Stop for lunch en route before continuing your journey.

Arrive in Kampala in the evening, where you will be dropped off at your hotel or preferred location, marking the end of your memorable Murchison Falls adventure.
