Welcome to the pearl of Africa

Welcome to the pearl of Africa

The day has finally arrived for your epic East African adventure to begin! Today, you will board your flight to Uganda, likely with a healthy dose of excitement and anticipation. Upon landing at Entebbe International Airport, you will be met by our private transfer driver who will whisk you away to your cozy haven for the night: the historic Boma Hotel.

Nestled in a leafy, peaceful suburb of Entebbe, this charming colonial-style boutique hotel beautifully preserves the character of the original 1940s home. Take a refreshing dip in the swimming pool, stroll through the vibrant tropical gardens that attract turtles, exotic birds, and playful vervet monkeys, or rent a bicycle from the hotel to explore the nearby Entebbe Botanical Gardens along the peaceful lake shores. You will learn how coffee cherries are harvested, peeled, roasted over an open fire, and ground to powder, before tasting a fresh cup of your own Arabica brew.

If you want to dive deeper into local flavours, you can optionally add a traditional three hour cooking class with our local partner Noah to learn how to prepare matoke and chicken luwombo simmered in banana leaves.
