Transfer from Kampala/Entebbe/Kigali to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel or residence in Kampala or Kigali or Entebbe at. Meet your professional English-speaking driver-guide for a safari briefing before setting off on a scenic journey to the breathtaking Lake Bunyonyi in southwestern Uganda.

Travel through picturesque landscapes featuring rolling hills, traditional villages, tea plantations, and fertile farmlands. Stop at the Equator for memorable photographs and continue to Mbarara for lunch at a local restaurant.

After lunch, proceed through the beautiful Kigezi Highlands, renowned as the "Switzerland of Africa" for their spectacular terraced hills and panoramic views. Arrive at the tranquil shores of Lake Bunyonyi in the late afternoon and check in at Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort, where you'll enjoy stunning lake views and warm Ugandan hospitality.

Spend the rest of the evening relaxing by the lake, taking in the peaceful surroundings, or enjoying the resort's facilities before dinner.

Gorilla Trekking Experience in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for registration and a detailed briefing

You will be assigned to one of the habituated gorilla families based on your fitness level. The trek through the dense tropical rainforest may last between 2 and 8 hours depending on the location of the gorillas.

As you hike through ancient forest filled with birds, butterflies, and unique plant species, your guides will explain the ecology of the forest.

The highlight of your safari comes when you finally meet a mountain gorilla family in their natural habitat. Spend one magical hour observing their behavior, watching playful juveniles, protective silverbacks, and nurturing mothers—a wildlife encounter considered among the greatest experiences on Earth.

After trekking, receive your Gorilla Trekking Certificate before returning to the lodge for relaxation. Optional Evening Boat cruise, Ziplining, Kayaking, tubbing, Community visits.
