Dar es Salaam Airport - Mikumi National Park

You will be met at Dar Es Salaam International Airport, have lunch at a local restaurant near the airport and then depart for Mikumi National Park. This journey will take 4 hours, arriving at Mikumi to check-in at Mikumi Bush Camp. You will enjoy dinner and then turn in for your overnight stay at Mikumi Bush Camp resting up for the next day’s adventures!

Mikumi National Park

After an early breakfast, you will depart, with lunch boxes in hand, heading for Mikumi National Park. This park is the second largest National Park after Serengeti National Park. In the park, you will have a chance to see an impressive number of wild animals including a large family of elephants, giraffes, impala antelope, lions, wildebeest, buffalo, and a big number of zebra, as well as an assortment of wild bird and crocodile. Later in the afternoon, you will stop at a resting point for lunch and a cool drink and then proceed with your game drive until the late evening. You will then return to the campsite for dinner and your overnight stay.

Mikumi National Park - Dar es Salaam

You will wake very early and depart for a sunrise game drive inside the park. This unique time of the day will provide you with the chance to see more activity among the animals because at this time of day they are hunting and eating. Later in the day, you will depart for Dar es Salaam where you will be dropped off at your choice of destinations. This is where your safari will end.
