Drive to Maasai Mara

Your adventure begins with a scenic five-hour drive to the world-renowned Maasai Mara National Reserve. Traveling along smooth tarmac roads, you will take a brief, refreshing stopover in the vibrant town of Narok before proceeding toward your destination. By 2:00 PM, you will arrive and check in at the beautiful Mara Sopa Lodge, where a delicious lunch and some well-deserved relaxation await you before you set out for an afternoon game drive.
​The magic of the Mara starts the moment you enter through Sekenani Gate. Wildlife will greet you almost immediately, offering an exciting preview of the savannah before you even reach the lodge reception. As you drive through the gates, keep your camera ready to spot majestic elephants, towering giraffes, dazzling zebras, and playful warthogs, alongside a vibrant array of exotic birds and countless antelopes roaming the plains. It is a breathtaking introduction to an unforgettable journey in the wild.

Maasai Mara

On your second day, you'll spend a full day in the wild as you enjoy viewing the countless wildlife roaming freely in the beautiful plains. Take breakfast by 7 AM and be ready to begin the game viewing by 8 AM. Our guide will carry a packed lunch/ picnic lunch for you as you'll not return to the lodge until late in the day. During the game drives, you'll also have snacks and bottled water. You'll have many stops to relieve yourself. During this game drives, expect to see 4 of the big five ( lions, elephants, leopards, buffaloes ), you'll also see the wildebeest, topi, gazelle, common zebra, cheetah, serval, and many birds species. Maasai Mara has over 450 bird species.
By 4 or 5 PM you'll be ready to return back to the lodge. Relax and take dinner by 7 PM.

Morning game viewing, returm to Nairobi

On your third day in the Mara, you'll wake up by 6 AM. If you are comfortable and not tired, you can head straight to the vast plains. Enjoy viewing the game until 8 AM. Alternatively, you can visit a Maasai Manyatta( village). Return back to lodge, take your breakfast and check out by 10 AM.
Afterwards, you'll head back to the city. You'll be in the city by 4 or 5 PM. If you have a flight to catch earlier, we'll organise to ensure that you don't miss it.
Otherwise, we'll drop you at your hotel in the city or at the airport depending on your plans.
