Entebbe/Kampala – Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up from Entebbe International Airport or your hotel in Kampala. Meet your professional safari guide and begin the drive to western Uganda.

Enjoy beautiful views of rolling hills, traditional villages, and farmlands before stopping at the Uganda Equator for photographs, refreshments, and souvenir shopping. Continue your journey to Lake Mburo National Park, arriving in time for lunch.

In the afternoon, enjoy your first game drive through the park's acacia woodlands and open savannah. Watch for zebras, Rothschild's giraffes, impalas, elands, buffaloes, warthogs, topis, waterbucks, and numerous bird species before returning for dinner.

Morning Walking Safari & Afternoon Boat Cruise

After an early breakfast, enjoy one of the park's signature experiences—a guided walking safari accompanied by an armed Uganda Wildlife Authority ranger. Walking through the African wilderness offers a unique opportunity to observe wildlife up close while learning about animal tracks, plants, birds, and the park's ecosystem.

Return for lunch before embarking on a relaxing afternoon boat cruise on Lake Mburo. The lake is home to large pods of hippos, Nile crocodiles, fish eagles, kingfishers, herons, African fish eagles, and many other water birds. The boat safari also offers excellent opportunities to photograph wildlife along the shoreline.

Spend the evening relaxing while enjoying the peaceful surroundings of the park.

Morning Game Drive – Return to Entebbe/Kampala

After breakfast, enjoy one final morning game drive to explore different areas of the park and increase your chances of spotting wildlife that may have been missed earlier. Lake Mburo is one of the best places in Uganda to see zebras, giraffes, impalas, and elands in large numbers.

Following the game drive, begin your return journey to Entebbe or Kampala. Stop for lunch along the way before arriving at Entebbe International Airport or your preferred drop-off location, marking the end of your memorable wildlife safari.
