Kampala – Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

After an early breakfast, depart Kampala and journey southwest to the world-renowned Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home to almost half of the world's remaining mountain gorillas.
The scenic drive takes approximately 8–10 hours and offers breathtaking views of Uganda's rolling hills, tea plantations, local villages, and lush countryside. Along the way, you will make a stop at the Uganda Equator for photographs and refreshments before continuing through the beautiful landscapes of southwestern Uganda. Enjoy lunch en route before arriving at your lodge in the evening. Check in, relax, and receive a briefing from your guide about the next day's gorilla trekking experience.

Gorilla Trekking Experience

Today is the highlight of your Uganda safari.
After an early breakfast, transfer to the Uganda Wildlife Authority headquarters for registration and a briefing by experienced park rangers. You will then be assigned a habituated mountain gorilla family and begin your trek through the ancient rainforest.
The trek may take anywhere between 2 and 8 hours, depending on the location of the gorillas. As you hike through the dense forest, your guides will share fascinating information about the flora, fauna, and ecosystem of Bwindi. Once the gorillas are located, you will spend one magical hour observing these incredible primates in their natural habitat. Watching them feed, play, groom, and interact is an unforgettable wildlife experience that few people in the world ever have the privilege to enjoy. After the trek, return to your lodge to relax and celebrate this once-in-a-lifetime achievement.
