Arrive in time to settle into your hotel and enjoy views over the Rift Valley lakes before dinner. Your guide will explain the cultural visits ahead and how to engage respectfully and make the most of your time with local communities over the coming days.

Konso Cultural Landscape

Drive to the Konso Cultural Landscape, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its terraced hillsides, stone-walled villages, and carved wooden grave markers called waka. Walk through a lived-in village with a local Konso guide, learning about the community's farming methods, which have shaped this landscape for centuries, and their social structure built around generation age-sets. Visit the small local museum to see traditional tools and artifacts up close. Overnight in Arba Minch.

Dorze Villages, Weaving & Farewell Dinner

Drive up into the cool highlands above Arba Minch to visit the Dorze people, known for their tall, beehive-shaped houses built from bamboo and false banana leaves, some standing over six meters high. See how the community grows and prepares false banana, a local staple food, and watch skilled weavers at work on traditional cotton cloth. In the afternoon, fly back to Addis Ababa. Tonight, enjoy a farewell dinner hosted by Origin Abyssinia at a local restaurant in the capital.

Your guide will take you to Bole International Airport in good time for your departure flight, bringing your journey through southern Ethiopia's living cultures to a close.
