Day 1

Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park

We drive towards northern Uganda. We can make a stopover at the Ziwa sanctuary to see the Rhinos. However, this is an optional activity. This is where you can see the rhinos living happily in their natural environment. We then drive through the Budongo forest until we reach the Murchison Falls. At the top of the falls, you see the water of the River Nile flowing endlessly through a rock and into a gorge below. It is spectacular with rainbows, a blue sky, and the sounds of water. We continue to our lodge to relax.

Game Drives and Boat cruise on river Nile

Today, we see the other side of the Park and cruise along the river Nile. Firstly, we start the day with a sunrise safari to see the many animals of the park. We go on the famous tracks where lions, leopards, and hyenas do their hunting. In the valleys and along the tracks, Elephants, Giraffes, and antelopes eat the shrubs and grasses. The birds are found everywhere. We make a picnic break at the hippos’ pool. In the afternoon, we go down to the river Nile for a boat safari along the river Nile. This is the right time to see the animals that come to the river every day. The hippos, crocodiles, and water birds are permanent residents of the river. This safari ends at the rocks below the falls. Here is a beautiful sight of the falls from below. We return to the Lodge for the sunset.
