Pick up from the hotel and drive to Bwindi forest

On this 4-day Bwindi Gorilla and Chimpanzee tour in Uganda, we shall receive you from your hotel and then drive straight to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park forest. A lunch break is along the way after we have crossed the Equator. The vegetation en route is full of green woodlands and gardens. However, the landscape is spectacular as we approach the Mountain Gorillas region. We reach the forest in the afternoon.

Gorilla trekking in Bwindi forest

This 4-day Gorilla and Chimpanzee Tour will offer you an exciting adventure experience with the mountain Gorillas. First, we register for the Gorilla trekking, and then we enter the forest as early as 8 am. With advice from the Rangers, we follow the tracks of the Gorillas until we see them. The weather may be good or bad, but that should not worry you. After all, Gorilla trekking is an adventure in the jungle. The Gorillas have very interesting cultures that, at times, make it complicated to find them. They do not follow specific trails and do not walk in a straight line. However, their sources of food determine their movements. When we find them, we spend an hour observing and photographing them. Bwindi is one of the oldest and biggest rainforests in Uganda. Forest elephants, chimpanzees, and endemic birds inhabit the Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Drive Bwindi to Kibale forest

On this 4-day Gorilla and Chimpanzee Tour in Uganda, we drive further north to Kibale forest. We go through the countryside to another rainforest that is home to the Chimpanzees. Apart from the chimps, Kibale Forest has 12 other primate species. Forest elephants and duikers are in this forest. Plenty of beautiful butterflies and rare birds like the green-breasted Pitta and Narina Trogon can be seen here. This park was originally a forest for research until it was declared a national park in the year 1991.

Chimpanzee trekking and return to Entebbe

This 4-day Gorilla and Chimpanzee Tour in Uganda, chimpanzees are slightly different. Early in the morning, we enter the forest and begin searching for the chimpanzees. From the noises of the chimps, poo, and shaking of trees, it is easy to find them. Chimpanzees are so active in the morning as they jump up and down. Then transfer to Entebbe or the Place of Convenience.
