Your adventure begins with a scenic drive from Arusha into Tarangire National Park, a remarkable landscape of golden savannahs, ancient baobab trees, and winding riverbeds. The park is renowned for its large elephant herds, while its diverse habitats provide opportunities to encounter lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, and abundant birdlife.
Your afternoon game drive takes you along the Tarangire River and through the open plains, following the tracks and movements of wildlife as you explore deeper into the park. A delicious picnic lunch will be served in the bush, giving you the chance to enjoy a relaxed meal surrounded by the sights and sounds of the wilderness.
As the afternoon comes to an end, you will leave Tarangire and ascend towards the Great Rift Valley escarpment. By evening, you will arrive at Escarpment Luxury Lodge, where panoramic views, a beautifully prepared dinner, and a peaceful night await.

Day 2
Karatu to Serengeti National Park

Today you leave the Rift Valley behind and journey through the cooler landscapes of the Ngorongoro Highlands towards the legendary Serengeti National Park. As you cross into the Serengeti, the scenery opens into vast golden plains stretching towards the horizon, creating the perfect setting for some of Africa’s iconic wildlife encounters. Keep watch for cheetahs, lions, elephants, giraffes, and enormous herds of wildebeest and zebra moving across the plains.
A freshly prepared picnic lunch will be enjoyed along the way, allowing you to spend more time in the bush and make the most of the journey into the Serengeti. Once inside the park, your afternoon game drive begins, following wildlife trails and exploring the open plains in search of predators and other animals.
As evening approaches, you will make your way to Dove Luxury Serengeti Camp. Here, fine dining, attentive hospitality, and the intimate atmosphere of a luxury safari tent offer a memorable night beneath the Serengeti sky.

Wake up to the sounds of the Serengeti and set out on an early morning game drive across the golden plains. The cool morning hours can be particularly rewarding for wildlife viewing, as predators are often still active and the soft light brings the landscape to life. Enjoy one final exploration of the Serengeti before continuing towards the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
Your journey takes you through the highlands before descending into the Ngorongoro Crater, the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera. Its enclosed ecosystem supports an extraordinary concentration of wildlife, including large herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, and gazelle, alongside lions, hyenas, elephants, and the elusive black rhinoceros.

On your final day, you will explore Lake Manyara National Park, an emerald-green haven nestled beneath the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Along the lakeshore, keep an eye out for colourful birdlife and seasonal gatherings of flamingos.
