Day 1

Arusha to Tarangire National Park – Karatu

After breakfast, your safari guide will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha for the drive to Tarangire National Park, approximately two hours away.

Tarangire is renowned for its massive elephant population, majestic baobab trees, and the Tarangire River, which attracts wildlife throughout the year. Enjoy a full-day game drive as you search for elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, impalas, warthogs, and a variety of bird species.

Enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park before continuing your afternoon game drive.

In the late afternoon, drive to Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay at Bougainvillea Safari Lodge.

Day 2

Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha

After an early breakfast, depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend approximately 600 meters into the magnificent Ngorongoro Crater.

Spend the morning exploring one of Africa's most wildlife-rich ecosystems, home to over 25,000 animals. The crater offers an outstanding chance to see the Big Five—lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and the endangered black rhino—as well as hippos, hyenas, zebras, flamingos, wildebeests, and numerous bird species.

Enjoy a picnic lunch beside the hippo pool before ascending the crater and beginning your drive back to Arusha.

Arrive in Arusha in the late afternoon, where you will be dropped off at your hotel or Kilimanjaro International Airport.
