Arusha to Tarangire National Park – Karatu

After breakfast, your professional safari guide will pick you up from your hotel in Arusha for the drive to Tarangire National Park, one of Tanzania's most beautiful wildlife destinations.

Enjoy a full-day game drive through the park, famous for its enormous elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and the Tarangire River, which attracts a wide variety of wildlife throughout the year. During your game drive, you may encounter lions, leopards, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, wildebeests, impalas, warthogs, and more than 500 bird species.

After a picnic lunch inside the park, continue your afternoon wildlife viewing before driving to Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay at Marera Valley Lodge.

Karatu to Serengeti National Park

After an early breakfast, depart for the world-famous Serengeti National Park, traveling through the scenic Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Enjoy breathtaking views as you make your way across the highlands before descending into the vast Serengeti plains. Upon entering the park, begin your game drive while heading toward your camp, with opportunities to spot elephants, lions, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, hyenas, and countless other wildlife species.

Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive – Return to Arusha

After an early breakfast, descend approximately 600 meters into the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater for a half-day game drive.

The crater is home to more than 25,000 animals, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, hippos, hyenas, flamingos, and the endangered black rhino, making it one of the best places in Africa to see the Big Five in a single day.

Enjoy a picnic lunch at the crater floor before ascending the crater and beginning your drive back to Arusha.
