Your private driver collects you from your Zanzibar hotel and transfers you to the airport for the scheduled flight to Seronera. On arrival, your Karibu Tena guide meets you beside the airstrip with a private pop-up-roof 4x4. Begin game viewing immediately across Central Serengeti’s river valleys and open plains, where resident wildlife can be found throughout the year. After lunch, continue at your own pace before checking in at Serengeti Heritage Luxury Tented Camp. Settle into your en-suite tent and gather around the campfire before dinner.

Because the vehicle belongs exclusively to you, there is no fixed group timetable or pressure to leave a sighting. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the park or return to camp for a relaxed midday break before an afternoon game drive. Return to Serengeti Heritage for dinner and a second night beneath canvas.

From the Serengeti Plains to the Crater Rim
Begin with a final morning game drive through Central Serengeti before travelling southeast toward the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. The changing landscape moves from open plains into the volcanic highlands, with a picnic lunch served along the route. Arrive at Ang’ata Ngorongoro Camp on the southeastern side of the crater rim and settle into your en-suite tent. Staying close to the crater places you in a strong position for an early descent the following morning, before many vehicles arrive from accommodations around Karatu.

Descend early into Ngorongoro Crater for a private game drive across its grasslands, wetlands and woodland. Search for lions, buffalo, elephants, hippos and, with luck, the crater’s black rhinos while your guide adjusts the route according to wildlife reports and vehicle movements. Enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor before ascending and leaving the conservation area. Continue to Marera Valley Lodge near Karatu, where the afternoon and evening are reserved for rest, a swim or quiet time on your private veranda.

Explore Mto wa Mbu Before Flying to Zanzibar
After breakfast, travel to Mto wa Mbu for an included guided village walk with Wayo. Explore local farms, food markets, rice-growing areas and community activities with a guide who grew up in the village. A two-hour mountain-bike tour through the farming community can replace the walk when requested in advance, subject to availability and the confirmed flight schedule. After lunch, continue to Arusha Airport for your scheduled afternoon flight to Zanzibar, where a private transfer returns you to your hotel.
