Day 1

Your safari begins with a morning pickup from your hotel in Arusha. After meeting your professional safari guide, you will drive to Tarangire National Park.

Tarangire is well known for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees and the Tarangire River, which attracts wildlife throughout the year. During the game drive, you may see elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, buffaloes, warthogs and several species of antelopes.

Predators such as lions, leopards and cheetahs may also be spotted, while the park’s diverse habitats make it an excellent destination for birdwatching.

You will enjoy a picnic lunch inside the park before continuing with the afternoon game drive.

Day 2

Karatu to Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you will depart for Serengeti National Park, travelling through the beautiful Ngorongoro Conservation Area.

Along the way, you will enjoy views of rolling hills, traditional Maasai settlements and the vast open landscapes of northern Tanzania. After entering Serengeti National Park, you will begin your first game drive while travelling toward the Central Serengeti.

The Serengeti is famous for its endless plains, abundant wildlife and large population of predators. Depending on the season, you may also encounter herds of wildebeest and zebra moving through the ecosystem.

Day 3

After breakfast, you will depart with a picnic lunch for a full-day game drive in the Serengeti.

Your guide will follow recent wildlife movements and explore the most rewarding areas of the park. You may see lions resting near rocky kopjes, leopards hidden in acacia trees, cheetahs hunting on the open plains and elephants moving through woodland areas.

Other commonly seen animals include giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, hyenas, jackals and several species of antelopes.

You will enjoy lunch at a designated picnic area before continuing with the afternoon game drive.

Day 4

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

After an early breakfast, you will drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend approximately 600 metres into the Ngorongoro Crater for a memorable game drive.

The crater is home to a remarkable concentration of wildlife, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, hyenas and several species of antelopes. It is also one of the best places in Tanzania to search for the endangered black rhinoceros, although sightings cannot be guaranteed.

You will enjoy a picnic lunch inside the crater, usually near the hippo pool, before continuing with the afternoon game drive.

Later, you will ascend from the crater and drive to Karatu, where you will check in at your lodge for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, you will drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a full or half-day game drive.

The park is located beneath the dramatic Great Rift Valley escarpment and is known for its beautiful scenery, groundwater forest and diverse wildlife. You may see elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, hippos, baboons and several species of antelopes.

Lake Manyara is also famous for its rich birdlife, including flamingos, pelicans, hornbills, kingfishers and many other species. With some luck, you may also spot the park’s well-known tree-climbing lions.

Waterfalls and Coffee Processing

After breakfast, you will drive to Materuni village, located on the lower slopes of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Upon arrival, a local guide will accompany you on a scenic walk through the village, passing coffee farms, banana plantations and lush green landscapes. The walk leads to the impressive Materuni Waterfalls, where water drops approximately 80 metres into a natural pool below.

You will have time to enjoy the scenery, take photographs and relax near the waterfall.

The experience may also include a traditional coffee tour, where you will learn how coffee is grown, harvested, roasted and prepared using local methods. You may participate in the process and enjoy a freshly prepared cup of coffee.

After lunch, you will return to Arusha or transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport, depending on your travel arrangements.
