Fly to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park - Batwa Cultural Experience & Community Walk

Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your lodge After checking in and enjoying lunch.
Begin with a guided community walk, where you'll have the opportunity to interact with local residents, visit traditional homesteads, schools (when open), local markets, and women's craft groups. This experience provides a genuine insight into everyday life in rural Uganda while supporting community-based tourism initiatives. You will then visit the Batwa Community, home to the indigenous forest people who once lived within Bwindi Forest before it became a national park. During this cultural encounter, Batwa guides will share their fascinating history, demonstrate traditional hunting techniques, medicinal plant knowledge, music, dance, storytelling, and how they once survived entirely within the forest.

Gorilla Trekking Experience

Today is undoubtedly the highlight of your Ugandan adventure. After an early breakfast, your guide will transfer you to the Uganda Wildlife Authority headquarters where you will receive a briefing from experienced park rangers regarding gorilla trekking etiquette and safety procedures. You will then begin your trek into Bwindi Impenetrable Forest.
The trek can last anywhere between 2-6 hours depending on the location of the assigned gorilla family. Along the way, your guides will introduce you to the incredible biodiversity of the forest, pointing out unique birds, butterflies, medicinal plants, and other primates.
The moment you finally encounter a mountain gorilla family is truly unforgettable. You will spend one magical hour observing these gentle giants as they feed, play, groom each other, and interact naturally in their habitat.
After the trek, return to the lodge for lunch and spend the rest of the afternoon relaxing while reflecting on this once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Queen Elizabeth National Park Safari

After breakfast, depart Bwindi and enjoy a scenic drive through southwestern Uganda to Queen Elizabeth National Park. This diverse national park is famous for its open savannah, crater lakes, wetlands, and abundant wildlife. Following lunch, embark on an exciting afternoon game drive across the Kasenyi Plains in search of elephants, buffaloes, lions, Uganda kobs, warthogs, hyenas, waterbucks, and numerous bird species. If you're lucky, you may even spot the elusive leopard. As the sun begins to set, enjoy the spectacular African landscape before returning to your lodge.
