Addis Ababa – Jimma – Chebera Churchura National Park

Begin your adventure with a morning flight from Addis Ababa to Jimma. After meeting your guide, enjoy a scenic drive of approximately 180 km through Ethiopia's famous coffee-growing region. The journey passes rolling hills, traditional Oromo villages, rivers and lush tropical forests before arriving at Chebera Churchura National Park.

After lunch and checking into your lodge, set out on your first afternoon game drive. As temperatures cool, wildlife becomes increasingly active. Search for African elephants, buffalo, roan antelope, bushbuck, waterbuck and a variety of colorful birdlife while enjoying spectacular sunset views over the park.

Return to your lodge for dinner and relax beneath one of Africa's clearest night skies.

Full-Day Wildlife Safari

Rise early for the day's first safari when wildlife is most active. Explore different ecosystems including riverine forest, open savannah and woodland, each supporting unique wildlife.

Throughout the day your expert guide will help track elephants, buffalo, greater kudu, bush pigs, monkeys and numerous bird species. Visit scenic viewpoints overlooking the park's vast wilderness and stop beside rivers where hippos and crocodiles may be seen.

Enjoy a picnic lunch surrounded by nature before continuing your afternoon game drive. As evening approaches, the golden light provides excellent photography opportunities.

Return to the lodge for dinner and another peaceful evening in the heart of Ethiopia's wilderness.

Morning Safari – Jimma – Addis Ababa

Enjoy one final early morning game drive to maximize wildlife viewing before leaving the park. This is often the best time to observe elephants feeding and birds becoming active.

Drive back through the beautiful coffee-growing landscapes to Jimma, where you'll board your return flight to Addis Ababa.

Depending on your departure schedule, enjoy a traditional Ethiopian farewell dinner before your guide transfers you to Bole International Airport or your hotel.
