Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel in Arusha. Drive southwest to Tarangire National Park, famous for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and diverse wildlife. Enjoy a full game drive with excellent chances of seeing elephants, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, lions, and a variety of bird species.
After a picnic lunch inside the park, continue your afternoon game drive before exiting the park and driving to Karatu, a charming town located on the slopes of the Ngorongoro Highlands.

Day 2
Karatu – Serengeti National Park
Karatu – Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, depart Karatu and drive through the scenic Ngorongoro Conservation Area, enjoying breathtaking views of the Ngorongoro Crater along the way. Continue the journey across the highlands and onto the vast plains leading to Serengeti National Park. A packed lunch (lunch box) will be provided and enjoyed during the drive. Upon entering the Serengeti, begin an exciting afternoon game drive through the park’s endless grasslands, famous for their incredible wildlife including lions, cheetahs, leopards, elephants, giraffes, and large herds of wildebeests and zebras. Continue exploring the central Serengeti area until the evening, when you will arrive at your tented camp for check-in, dinner, and overnight stay.

Day 3
Serengeti Game Drive – Return to Karatu
Serengeti Game Drive – Return to Karatu
Start the day with an early morning game drive in Serengeti National Park, when predators are most active and wildlife viewing is at its best. Explore different areas of the park and enjoy the breathtaking scenery of the African savannah as the sun rises over the endless plains. Return to the camp for breakfast, then continue with a final game drive while exiting the Serengeti. A packed lunch (lunch box) will be provided for the journey. After lunch, begin the drive back through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area toward Karatu, passing through beautiful highland landscapes and stopping at scenic viewpoints for photographs and panoramic views of the crater and surrounding countryside. Arrive in Karatu in the late afternoon or evening for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 4
Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha
Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha
After an early breakfast, depart Karatu and descend approximately 600 meters into the Ngorongoro Crater, one of Africa’s most spectacular wildlife destinations and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Spend the morning exploring the crater floor on a game drive, with excellent opportunities to see black rhinos, lions, elephants, buffaloes, hippos, hyenas, and a wide variety of antelope and bird species. The crater’s rich grasslands, swamps, and acacia woodlands support an incredible concentration of wildlife throughout the year. Enjoy a picnic lunch at a designated site near the hippo pool while taking in the beautiful surroundings. In the afternoon, ascend the crater and begin the drive back to Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon or early evening, marking the end of your unforgettable Tanzania Classic Safari.
