Day 1

After breakfast, depart with a hot picnic lunch for the scenic drive to Lake Natron, a surreal and striking destination approximately 3.5 hours from Mto wa Mbu or Lake Manyara. Upon arrival, check in to your lodge and enjoy some time to relax before heading out with a local Maasai guide for a guided walk along the shimmering shores of Lake Natron.

Renowned for its shallow, highly alkaline waters and dramatic volcanic scenery, Lake Natron is East Africa's most important breeding ground for lesser flamingos. During the breeding season, up to two million of these elegant birds gather here, transforming the lake into a breathtaking sea of pink. Between September and January, when egg-laying and hatching are at their peak, the landscape comes alive in an extraordinary display of color, wildlife, and natural wonder, creating one of Tanzania's most remarkable wildlife spectacles.

After a hearty breakfast, depart from your lodge in the Northern Serengeti and enjoy a leisurely game drive toward the iconic central plains.
