Scenic Drive from Nairobi to Maasai Mara National Reserve & Afternoon Game Drive

Your adventure begins with a 7:00 AM departure from our Nairobi office at College House, located at the junction of University Way and Koinange Street. Hotel or airport pickup can be arranged at an additional cost. After a safari briefing and guide introduction, enjoy a scenic drive to Maasai Mara National Reserve. Upon arrival, check in at Enchoro Wildlife Camp, enjoy lunch, and set out on an exclusive afternoon game drive. Unlike most shared safaris that begin game viewing the following day, this itinerary gives you extra time in the reserve to search for the Big Five, giraffes, zebras, antelopes, elephants, and abundant birdlife across the vast savannah. In the evening, return to camp for dinner under the stars, relax around a traditional campfire, and prepare for an overnight stay before your full-day safari the next morning.

Full-Day Game Drives

Enjoy a full-day game drive in the world-famous Maasai Mara National Reserve. Start the day with an optional Hot Air Balloon Safari (USD 490 per person), offering spectacular sunrise views over the endless savannah. Continue with an exciting search for the Big Five, tracking lions, leopards, cheetahs, spotted hyenas, and the endangered black rhinoceros, while also enjoying excellent birdwatching. After a picnic lunch in the reserve, continue your safari in search of elephant herds, Cape buffaloes, Masai giraffes, zebras, wildebeest, topi, impalas, gazelles, and other plains wildlife. During the Great Migration (July–October), visit the Mara River to witness thousands of wildebeest and zebras crossing crocodile-filled waters while hippos and predators wait nearby. Return to camp in the evening after an unforgettable day of wildlife viewing and photography.

Maasai Village Visit, Hell's Gate Nature Walk & Return to Nairobi

After an early breakfast, check out of the camp and visit a traditional Maasai village for an authentic cultural experience. Meet the Maasai people, learn about their customs, traditional homes, and way of life, and enjoy vibrant cultural dances. Continue your journey to Hell's Gate National Park via Naivasha, arriving at approximately 1:00 PM for lunch at Lake Naivasha Simba Lodge. At 2:00 PM, enjoy a guided 2-hour nature walk through the spectacular gorges, cliffs, and geothermal landscapes of Hell's Gate, with opportunities to spot zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, gazelles, warthogs, and numerous bird species. You may also choose an optional cycling safari (USD 50 per person) for a closer encounter with wildlife. Afterwards, depart for Nairobi, arriving at approximately 6:00 PM, marking the end of your unforgettable Maasai Mara adventure.
