Upon your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) or Arusha Airport (ARK), you will be warmly welcomed by a Williamson Adventures representative and transferred to your hotel in Arusha. The remainder of the day is at leisure, allowing you to relax after your journey and prepare for the exciting safari ahead. In the evening, enjoy a safari briefing from your guide.

Day 2

Arusha – Ndutu Conservation Area

After an early breakfast, depart Arusha and journey through the scenic Ngorongoro Conservation Area toward the Ndutu region, located between the southern Serengeti and Ngorongoro ecosystems. Enjoy a game drive en route as you enter one of Africa's premier wildlife destinations during the calving season.

From December through March, the Ndutu plains become the nursery of the Great Migration, where hundreds of thousands of wildebeests gather to give birth. This abundance of prey attracts lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas, creating exceptional wildlife viewing opportunities.

Arrive at your camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Spend a full day exploring the vast plains of the Ndutu Conservation Area, one of the best locations to witness the Great Migration during the calving season. Your experienced guide will take you to prime wildlife-viewing areas where thousands of wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles roam the open grasslands.

Watch newborn calves take their first steps while predators, including lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas, closely follow the migrating herds. Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush before continuing your afternoon game drive, making the most of this extraordinary wildlife spectacle.

Day 4

After an early breakfast, enjoy a final morning game drive in the Ndutu region before continuing to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Descend 600 meters into the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa's finest wildlife destinations.

Spend the afternoon exploring the crater floor, home to an incredible concentration of wildlife, including the Big Five, hippos, hyenas, zebras, wildebeests, and numerous bird species. After a picnic lunch, ascend the crater and continue to Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.
