Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

You will be picked up by your driver guide from the airport or hotel, briefed about your 3Day Gorilla trekking tour and transferred to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

The park has half of the world’s remaining population of mountain gorillas, about 120 species of mammals and over 350 bird species located in Southwestern Uganda in the Kigezi region.

En-route the park, enjoy stop overs at the Equator in Kayabwe and Kitagata Hot springs in Sheema district which are believed to have healing powers hence named after Uganda’s National referral hospital, Mulago.

Gorilla Trekking

Enjoy an early breakfast and depart for the gorilla briefing point/ gate where you will be briefed on the safety precautions, how to act in the presence of the gorillas plus the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking. You will be allocated a family/ group that you will track from here.

As you adventure into the impenetrable forest, you will be accompanied by forest rangers and embark on the trail to track the gentle giants through the thick forest, up the hills and down the valleys. The trek can be between 1 to 7 hours depending on how far the family is.
