Following breakfast, depart Murchison Falls National Park and begin your scenic journey to Kibale National Park, often referred to as the "Primate Capital of the World." Along the way, enjoy ever-changing landscapes as you travel through Uganda's rolling hills, lush tea plantations, traditional villages, fertile farmlands, and picturesque crater lake region. There will be opportunities to stop for lunch, stretch your legs, and take photographs of the beautiful countryside. Arrive at Kibale in the late afternoon or early evening, where you'll check in to your comfortable forest lodge. Depending on the gorillas' location, the trek may take several hours, but the reward is extraordinary. Once located, you'll spend one unforgettable hour observing these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat as they feed, play, and interact within their family group.
After returning from the trek, guests interested in learning more about the region's rich cultural heritage may choose to take part in the Batwa Cultural Experience (optional at an additional cost). Guided by members of the indigenous Batwa community, this immersive experience offers fascinating insights into their traditional forest lifestyle, hunting techniques, music, dance, storytelling, and the deep connection they once shared with Bwindi Forest before it became a protected national park.

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast before setting out for an early morning birding excursion to the renowned Mabamba Swamp, one of Uganda's most celebrated birdwatching destinations and a Ramsar Wetland of International Importance. Located on the northern shores of Lake Victoria, Mabamba is world-famous as one of the best places in Africa to observe the elusive Shoebill Stork in its natural habitat.
Accompanied by an experienced local birding guide, you'll explore the swamp aboard a traditional motorized canoe, gliding through tranquil papyrus channels in search of the iconic Shoebill. The wetland also supports an impressive diversity of birdlife, offering excellent opportunities to spot species such as the Papyrus Gonolek, Blue-breasted Bee-eater, African Jacana, Malachite Kingfisher, Swamp Flycatcher, Long-toed Lapwing, African Marsh Harrier, Black Crake, Purple Heron, and numerous egrets, ducks, and weavers.
