Depart Nairobi early in a private 4×4 safari vehicle, traveling along the Nairobi-Mombasa highway past scenic scrublands and sisal plantations toward Tsavo East National Park. Enter through Voi gate, embarking on an en-route game drive as you head toward your safari lodge for lunch. Spend the afternoon exploring Tsavo's wide-open savannahs. Track enormous herds of elephants coated in red volcanic dust, graceful giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and powerful predators like lions and cheetahs against the striking backdrop of the Yatta Plateau.
