After a final look over the crater from the rim, you'll begin the drive back toward Arusha, retracing your path through the Ngorongoro Highlands as the wild plains give way to farmland and familiar roads. Arrive in Arusha by evening, your safari chapter complete but one more adventure still ahead. Spend the night in Arusha, with Materuni Waterfalls waiting for the morning.

Your final day trades game drives for a walk into the lush foothills of Kilimanjaro. A local guide will lead you through coffee farms and banana groves on the way to the thundering Materuni Waterfalls, home to the Chagga people. Along the way, you'll stop at a family homestead for a hands-on coffee tour from picking and roasting to grinding the beans by hand before enjoying a warm cup brewed the traditional way. The hike itself is a rewarding one, ending at the base of the falls where cool spray and forest sounds offer a peaceful final adventure. Afterward, you'll be transferred back to Arusha or directly to Kilimanjaro International Airport, bringing your week of wildlife and culture to a close.
