Dar es Salaam – Morogoro – Uluguru Mountains Hike – Mikumi National Park

Your adventure begins early in the morning as you board the 6:00 AM SGR train from Dar es Salaam to Morogoro. Upon arrival at approximately 7:00 AM, your professional guide will meet you at the railway station and transfer you to the foothills of the beautiful Uluguru Mountains.
Enjoy a guided hike through lush tropical forests, passing waterfalls, local villages, and scenic viewpoints overlooking Morogoro town. The hike offers an excellent opportunity to experience the unique biodiversity of the Eastern Arc Mountains while learning about the local culture and environment.
After the hike, enjoy lunch in Morogoro before departing by road to Mikumi National Park, arriving in the evening.
Check in at Camp Bastian Mikumi, relax, enjoy dinner, and overnight.

Full-Day Game Drive in Mikumi National Park

After an early breakfast, depart for a full-day game drive inside Mikumi National Park, one of Tanzania's most accessible and wildlife-rich parks.
Explore the famous Mkata Floodplain, where you'll have excellent opportunities to spot elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, wildebeests, hippos, crocodiles, and numerous antelope species. Lions are frequently seen resting beneath acacia trees, while over 400 bird species make the park a paradise for bird enthusiasts.
A picnic lunch will be served at one of the park's scenic picnic sites before continuing your afternoon wildlife safari.
Return to Camp Bastian in the late afternoon for dinner and overnight.

Morning Game Drive – Morogoro – Dar es Salaam

After breakfast, enjoy a final morning game drive, when wildlife is generally most active. This is a great opportunity to photograph animals you may have missed during the previous day.
Late in the morning, depart Mikumi and drive back to Morogoro, arriving in time for the afternoon SGR train to Dar es Salaam.
Sit back and relax as you travel comfortably back to the city, marking the end of your unforgettable 3-day adventure combining mountain hiking and wildlife safari.
