Nairobi – Maasai Mara National Reserve

Your adventure begins with an early morning departure from Nairobi as you join your fellow travelers for the journey to the Maasai Mara. Travel through the scenic Great Rift Valley, stopping at a viewpoint to admire the spectacular escarpment before continuing through Narok Town to the reserve.

Arrive at your safari camp or lodge in time for lunch and some relaxation before setting out on your first afternoon game drive. Explore the rolling savannahs in search of elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, antelopes, and many other fascinating wildlife species. As the sun sets over the Mara, return to camp for dinner and an evening around the camp before settling in for the night.

Spend the entire day exploring the magnificent Maasai Mara on extensive game drives accompanied by your experienced safari guide. Venture deep into the reserve in search of the Big Five while learning about the area's unique ecosystems and abundant wildlife.

A picnic lunch is enjoyed in the reserve, allowing you to maximize your time in the park. During the migration season (July to October), you may witness dramatic river crossings as thousands of wildebeest and zebras make their annual journey across the Mara River. Throughout the year, the reserve offers outstanding wildlife viewing, including cheetahs, hyenas, hippos, crocodiles, and an impressive variety of birdlife.

Guests may also choose to enhance their experience with an optional early morning hot air balloon safari or a cultural visit to a traditional Maasai village.
