Nairobi – Fly to Samburu National Reserve

After breakfast, you will be transferred from your Nairobi hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to Wilson Airport for your scheduled morning flight to Samburu.

The one-hour scenic flight offers breathtaking views of Kenya's central highlands, Mount Kenya, and the vast semi-arid landscapes of northern Kenya.

Upon arrival at the Samburu airstrip, you will be met by your professional safari guide and enjoy your first game drive as you transfer to Samburu Elephant Lodge.

Arrive in time for lunch before relaxing at the lodge and enjoying the tranquil surroundings.

Later in the afternoon, embark on an exciting game drive in Samburu National Reserve, exploring the riverbanks and open plains in search of elephants, lions, leopards, cheetahs, buffaloes, crocodiles, hippos, and the rare Samburu Special Five.

Return to the lodge before sunset for dinner and an overnight stay.

Full-Day Safari in Samburu National Reserve

After an early breakfast, depart for a full day of wildlife exploration in one of Kenya's most spectacular safari destinations.

Your experienced guide will take you deep into the reserve, where the Ewaso Nyiro River attracts an abundance of wildlife throughout the year. Watch large elephant herds gather at the river, search for elusive leopards resting in riverine forests, and scan the plains for lions and cheetahs.

Samburu is also renowned for its exceptional birdlife, with over 450 recorded species including kingfishers, hornbills, secretary birds, martial eagles, and colorful bee-eaters.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in the bush or return to the lodge for lunch before continuing your afternoon game drive.

Sunrise Game Drive – Fly Back to Nairobi

Enjoy an early morning game drive, when predators are still active and the golden light creates outstanding photography opportunities.

Return to the lodge for breakfast before checking out.

Transfer to the nearby airstrip for your scheduled flight back to Wilson Airport in Nairobi.

Upon arrival, our representative will transfer you to your hotel or Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your onward flight.
