Fly from Entebbe to Kisoro – Transfer to Bwindi

You will be picked up from your hotel at approximately 6:00 AM and transferred to Entebbe International Airport for your scheduled domestic flight to Kisoro. The flight sets off at around 8:30 AM and takes approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes over Uganda's stunning countryside and the Virunga Volcanoes. The flight distance is 210 miles that is 1hour and 30 minutes. Upon arrival at Kisoro Airstrip, our guide will be waiting to transfer you to your lodge in Bwindi a scenic drive of approximately 2 hours or less. You'll check in and relax for the rest of the afternoon.

Gorilla Tracking & Batwa Cultural Experience

After an early breakfast, head to the park headquarters for briefing at 7:30 AM. You'll be assigned to a gorilla family and begin your trek at 8:00 AM. Trekking takes 1–6 hours depending on gorilla movement. Once located, you'll spend one unforgettable hour with them. Lunch follows either packed or at the lodge, depending on finish time. In the afternoon, enjoy the Batwa Cultural Experience in an old-growth forest outside the park. Guided by Batwa people, you'll walk through the forest learning how they hunted, gathered food, and used traps. The Batwa are the original forest dwellers who lived in harmony with the gorillas for thousands of years before the park was gazetted. This community-managed experience directly supports Batwa families and cultural preservation.

Fly Back to Entebbe

After breakfast, you will transfer to Kisoro Airstrip for your return flight to Entebbe. As the aircraft lifts off, you'll take a final look at the endless green canopy of Bwindi. Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be transferred to the airport for your onward international flight or your hotel.
