Your safari begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel or preferred location in Entebbe. Meet your Menlyn Tours & Travel guide and start the long but scenic journey northwards towards Kidepo Valley National Park. Travel through Uganda’s countryside, passing local communities, farms, towns, and beautiful landscapes along the way. Enjoy lunch at a suitable stop before continuing towards the remote Karamoja region. As you approach Kidepo, the scenery becomes more rugged and dramatic, with vast plains and distant mountains. Arrive at your lodge later in the day, check in, relax, enjoy dinner, and prepare for tomorrow’s adventure.

Game drive & Afternoon Community Visit

After an early breakfast, set out for an exciting game drive through Kidepo Valley National Park. Explore the vast savannah plains and rugged landscapes while searching for elephants, buffaloes, zebras, giraffes, antelopes, and other wildlife. With luck, you may also encounter lions and other predators. The park is known for its remote setting and diverse wildlife, making every drive a memorable experience. Return to the lodge for lunch and some relaxation. In the afternoon, visit a nearby local community and experience the traditions and way of life of the Karamojong people. Learn about their culture, traditional homes, dances, and daily activities before returning to the lodge.

Transfer Back to Entebbe

After breakfast, check out of your lodge and begin the journey back to Entebbe. Enjoy the changing scenery as you travel from the remote Karamoja region through northern Uganda and towards the central part of the country. The journey provides an opportunity to appreciate Uganda’s diverse landscapes and rural communities along the way. Stop for lunch at a suitable location before continuing the drive. Your guide will ensure a comfortable journey and can share information about the places and communities you pass. Upon arrival in Entebbe, you will be dropped off at your hotel or Entebbe International Airport, marking the end of your Kidepo safari.
