The Endless Plains | A Full Day of Wildlife

The Endless Plains | A Full Day of Wildlife

Today is dedicated entirely to the Serengeti, giving you a full day without a long transfer.

After breakfast, set out with your safari guide to explore the wildlife-rich plains. The flexibility of a full day allows your guide to follow wildlife movements and spend more time at exceptional sightings.

The Serengeti is home to some of Africa's most iconic wildlife. Look for large herds of wildebeest and zebra, elephants moving across the plains, giraffes feeding among acacia trees and prides of lions resting in the shade. With luck, you may also encounter cheetahs, leopards and other elusive predators.

Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wilderness before continuing your afternoon game drive. As the golden light spreads across the plains, return to camp for dinner and your second night in the Serengeti.

After breakfast, venture into the western reaches of the park, where the scenery becomes more remote and the wilderness feels particularly untouched. Depending on the season and wildlife conditions, the area can offer excellent opportunities for observing resident wildlife and, at certain times of year, witnessing movements associated with the Great Migration.

The Western Serengeti is also known for the Grumeti River, an important water source and wildlife area. Your guide will explore suitable areas according to current animal movements, searching for elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, hippos, crocodiles, wildebeest, zebra and predators.

Enjoy a picnic lunch during your full-day adventure before continuing your exploration through the afternoon. Return to your accommodation in the evening for dinner and your final night in the Serengeti.
