Fly from Nairobi to Samburu

Begin your safari with a morning flight from Nairobi to Samburu. Upon arrival, your professional safari guide will meet you at the airstrip and transfer you to Samburu Simba Lodge.

After lunch and some time to settle in, head out for your first game drive in Samburu National Reserve.

Samburu is famous for its unique northern species, including the Grevy's zebra, reticulated giraffe, gerenuk, Beisa oryx and Somali ostrich. You also have good chances of encountering elephants, buffaloes, lions and leopards.

Return to the lodge in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Full-Day Samburu Safari

Enjoy an early breakfast before setting out for a full-day game drive.

The early morning is one of the best times to look for predators. With an experienced guide, we will focus on areas where lions, leopards and other predators are active. If conditions are right, we will also look for hunting opportunities and predator-prey interactions.

Continue exploring the reserve's scenic landscapes along the Ewaso Ng'iro River, where wildlife frequently gathers.

Return to the lodge for lunch or enjoy a picnic lunch in the reserve, depending on the day's plan.

An optional late-afternoon game drive can be arranged before returning to the lodge for dinner.

Morning Game Drive and Departure

Return to the lodge for breakfast before checking out and transferring to the airstrip for your flight back to Nairobi.
